Upkeep of the Gardens

Upkeep of the Gardens

To assist in the upkeep of the Joy Mead, villagers come together in a working party two or three times a year to clear undergrowth, sweep and tidy-up and undertake minor renovation projects. This usually takes place on a Sunday morning from 10:00am till 12:00pm. Future dates are advertised on the website and via the village E-mail.  Volunteers always very welcome.

In addition to the working parties, a mowing rota is also actively supported to keep the grass mown each fortnight throughout the summer months. Doing the mowing ourselves rather than having to employ someone saves the Joy Mead - and therefore the village - a considerable sum of money every year and we are hugely grateful to everyone who helps.  Additional volunteers for mowing the grass are always appreciated.

Please contact Paul Justice on 01327 361577 if you would like to help in the upkeep of the gardens.
