The advance guard sneaked out of Farthingstone on Wednesday evening. Others followed later. Some flew,some ferried and some went by train. The exhausted remnant arrived home in the village late Sunday. The time in between was spent in Saumur in the beautiful Loire Valley eating, drinking, dancing, (for money in some cases) sightseeing even sunbathing--oh yes and playing cricket. |
