FARTHINGSTONE PARISH COUNCIL
A Parish Council meeting was held on Monday 21st March 2011 in the Village Hall at 8.pm.

The minutes of the last meeting on were read, agreed and signed.
Matters Arising
Most of the pot holes that had been reported have been repaired and others remain outstanding.
Farthingstone PCC wish their thanks be pasted on to the Parish Council, R D Landscapes and other villagers for all the great work and upkeep done in the Cemetery and Churchyard. Letter to be sent to R D Landscapes.
Neighbourhood Watch Update
No update was received / no reported incidents.
General upkeep of Cemetery and Churchyard
SC has asked if the area in the churchyard that has recently been cleared of brambles could be maintained by R D Landscapes. The headstones have been checked and appear to be safe.
Planning Applications
DA/2010/1013 – Outline application for demolition of 3 agriculture building and construction of 5 dwellings, garages and access (revised scheme) at Manor Farm, Main Street, Farthingstone, NN12 8EZ
Refused by DDC Planners.
DA/2010/1052 – Work to and removal of trees subject to a TPO in Everdon Stubbs Wood, off Farthingstone Road, Everdon
Consent has been given to carry out these works.
DA/2010/1060 – Construction of new agricultural barn at The Glables, Everdon Road, Farthingstone, NN12 8HB
This application has been withdrawn by the applicant.
DA/2011/0175 – Work to TPO Tree at Park Farm, Everdon Road, Farthingstone.
This work is to remove dead branches and some of the crown to an oak tree on the border to the south of the property and to make it safe. This matter was discussed and all Councillors see no problem with this work being carried out. Letter to be sent to DDC.
Correspondence
HMRC has been in contact with regard to clerk’s wages and bringing them in line with pay scales and PAYE. The matter was discussed and Dr Batterby to looking into and will report at a later date.

PS informed the Parish Council that the rights of way areas are changing and they now offer advice and training to all footpath wardens.
SB raised the matter of Council Tax and the fact that even though the annual parish precept has not increased on all our bills from DDC there is a small rise. JM will speak to DDC regarding this.
