Farthingstone Village Hall

The Victorian Village School, in Maidford Road on the first bend from the Kings Arms crossroads, had served the youth of Farthingstone well from 1877 until 1962. The Department for Education then donated it to the Village as an amenity to help provide for its social, cultural and sporting well being.

The Hall is now run by a management committee (Charity no. 304190) which seeks to maintain the building as a venue for the Villagers’ multifarious uses. The Management Committee was successful in raising £120k in 1999 to redevelop the Village Hall to cope with the demands of the 21st Century.
